Prayer for Peace

God of our fathers, great and merciful! Lord of life and peace,

Father of all people. You will peace and not distress.

Denounce wars and cast down the pride of the violent.

You sent your Son Jesus Christ, so that He preach peace to

those near and far, and reunite into one family people of all races and generations.

Kneeling down before Thy Holy Eucharistic Countenance, through the

intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace, we implore you, O Lord:

for peace for the whole world, which, the more it strays away from You,

the more it plunges into panic and uncertainty of tomorrow,

for human life to be respected by all from the moment of its conception

until its natural death,

for peace, which is needed so much for our families,

so that they may remain in unity and love,

for our societies and countries, so that they could develop

on the foundation of truth and goodness,

for the Holy Church, so that "the wolves" would not be able to menace God's sheepfold.

May Your Love kindle in us the flame of zeal, so that we become instruments of

Your peace in the world, which is still torn by hatred, divisions, egoism and wars.

Speak to the hearts of those responsible for the fate of the nations. Destroy the

logic of retaliation and revenge in the daily life, and inspire by the Holy Spirit

new generous and noble solutions, both in the dialogue and patient awaiting in

the total trust in You.

Mary, Queen of Peace - support us in this fervor and pray for us!

AMEN
